d’Angleterre Welcomes One Of Denmark’s Leading Pastry Chefs
The 29-year-old talent, Freja Krarup, will now be in charge of d’Angleterre’s pastry kitchen after winning numerous honors as a member of the Danish pastry national team and for three seasons having pampered Svinkløvs Badehotel’s guests with her cullinary delights.
Freja Krarup was Pastry Chef at Svinkløv Badehotel since 2019, where she thrilled hotel guests for three summers with her creative and beautiful desserts and cakes. For many years, Freja Krarup has also played a central role in the Danish national confectionery team, which is well on its way to establishing Denmark as a leading nation in the sweet genre of gastronomy. Now her merits have led her to Copenhagen’s Kings’ Square, where she will check in as d’Angleterre ‘s Pastry Chef on November 3.
"I am looking forward to being a part of this beautiful, beautiful house, which not only has a historic but also a legendary tradition for desserts", says Freja Krarup, "and I am honored to be allowed to follow in the footsteps of such skilled and innovative confectioners - and I look forward to exploring and developing my own potential in the art of confectionery in a hotel where ambitions are as high as the framework is broad”.
d’Angleterre’s Director of Food & Beverage, Frank Henriksen, has prudently chosen Freja Krarup to redraw d’Angleterre’s dessert profile, which will soon take on a whole new dimension on several levels.
"Freja is currently one of the country's most talented confectioners, and I have great confidence that she can reach incredible heights within the framework of d'Angleterre", he says and secretly adds "… both the current ones, but especially in the coming ones",
What lies behind this statement, d’Angleterre will unveil end of November.
