d'Angleterre has a long and proud history, dating back to the middle of the 1700s. In 1755 the French servant Jean Marchal married the royal chef's daughter Maria Coppy and they founded a restaurant that later turned into a luxury hotel. This hotel is now known as d'Angleterre and has grazed Kongens Nytorv for more than 270 years. Our luxury hotel is synanons with Copenhagen, and the snow-white facade is a landmark of the city attracting prominent guests, royalties and celebrities, from Denmark and abroad.

d'Angleterre has an extensive array of restaurant and bar outlets, and alcohol is served in all of them, including Marchal, Marchal Bar, The Upper Lobby, and Balthazar. Balthazar is our Champagne Bar in Copenhagen serving signature cocktails, gourmet snacks, and Champagne from over 42 different houses. Please note that alcohol is only served to people of legal age and that alcohol free options are always available.

Artisanal afternoon tea is served in the graceful surroundings of the gorgeous Gallery Hall at d'Angleterre in central Copenhagen. Here you can indulge in the refined British tradition featuring a sparkling twist in cooperation with KRUG Champagne. Krug Afternoon Tea is served on Sundays from 3pm to 5pm, except selected dates. Reservation is required and can only be made online.

d’Angleterre is ideally situated in the heart of Copenhagen, in the historical part of the capital. Here, you are only steps away from one of the most iconic historical sites, Nyhavn. Due to the central location, many attractions can be reached on foot – for example Amalienborg Castle, The Marble Church, Christiansborg, Tivoli Gardens and pedestrian shopping street Strøget.

Upon check-in at d'Angleterre, a hold will be placed on your credit card for the full amount of your accommodation (if not prepaid), plus an additional 15% to cover any incidental charges. The airport nearest d'Angleterre is Copenhagen Airport and the fastest and easiest way to get to it, is by taking the metro. The metro runs directly to Copenhagen Airport in approximately 15 minutes. The metro stop nearest the hotel is called Kongens Nytorv and is only steps away from the hotel entrance.

We offer a variety of cleaning services at d'Angleterre. For example, daily Full-Service Cleaning, complete with tidying, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing of all surfaces. You have the option to choose linen change daily or as per standard, every 3rd day. Evening Turn-Down Service consists of the room being refreshed, lights adjusted, curtains drawn, fresh water provided, and bed prepared for sleep. We also offer Laundry/Dry cleaning service, available Monday till Friday, and Saturday till 13:00 (regular and express). Moreover, we offer in-house pressing service, 7 days a week. Regular service will be returned within 2 hours of ordering. Butler service is available upon request in advance.
