The works of art are new and different in style than previously seen in the restaurant.

Stronger colours and more eye catching arts will decorate the different walls. The trained eye might also suspect a minor political message in the paintings.

“We have chosen these pictures in cooperation with Lars Rahbek to get more modern art into the hotel. The pieces are carefully placed around our restaurant area, and we feel comfortable that our guests will appreciate them” says General Manager Hanne Lassen

ive stars awarded to Hotel D’Angleterre by Michelin
Hotel D’Angleterre is the only Danish hotel to receive five stars by the Guide. The Michelin Guide is mostly connected with the world of gastronomy, and the red guidebook is considered a bible for aficionados, travelling the world in pursuit of pleasing senses and taste buds alike.

The Michelin Guide is not only one, two or three-starred restaurants, it also has a section awarding hotels between one and five stars, in the shape of “hotels”. Hotel D’Angleterre, as the only hotel, has been honoured with five “hotels”, by the Michelin Guide’s inspector.

As well as restaurants and hotels, Denmark’s tourist attractions have also been evaluated by the Guide.
10 Danish sights and attractions have received top marks in the shape of three stars, whereof 5 attractions are situated in Copenhagen: Nyhavn, The Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, The National Museum, Rosenborg Castle & The National Gallery.

Whereas none of the Danish restaurants have earned three stars from the Michelin Guide as yet, Hotel D’Angleterre and 10 of the country’s most prominent tourist attractions can pride themselves on having obtained top marks.
