Illuminating the season

Lighting of our façade

The unveiling of the spectacular Christmas façade is a cherished Copenhagen tradition that transforms Kongens Nytorv into a stage of light, wonder, and joy.

This year, the grand reveal took place on 14 November, beautifully accompanied by Copenhagen’s Boys Choir who sang beloved Christmas carols.

Once again, we are delighted to be part of Copenhagen Winter Wonderland by KCC, the Christmas Market on Kongens Nytorv. Here, you will find our cosy d´Angleterre hut, brimming with festive delights. From indulgent treats to seasonal specialities, it is the perfect stop to bring home a taste of Christmas magic.

Christmas in Creations

From October 24th our Creations Pop-Up Concept transforms into a glittering Christmas universe. Discover a carefully curated selection of handcrafted ornaments, exclusive gifts, and festive treasures.

Within the playful Christmas displays, you will find something for everyone on your list. Each gift is beautifully wrapped, ready to be placed under the tree.

Christmas for Children

From 14 November to 31 December, families can treat their little ones to a cosy in-room cinema experience filled with holiday cheer. As the screen lights up with a beloved Christmas movie of your choice, a delightful assortment of seasonal treats will be delivered to your room — including hot cocoa, popcorn served in charming movie-themed boxes, and gingerbread cookies.

On 24 December Santa arrives visiting all children in their room at a time of their choosing. Please inform Santa's extended team of elves at the front desk when you are ready to receive your gift. If you celebrate on the morning of the 25th, we can inform Santa to leave the gifts in a sock on the door.

One of our beautiful salons will also transform into a holiday themed playroom and a special d'Angleterre story can be found in our Christmas Pixi Book.

Sweet treats

Christmas in Maison

Discover a delightful selection of Christmas cookies, gingerbread hearts, stockings, and hampers filled with seasonal sweets.

Our signature Snow Queen’s White Gløgg is available by the bottle or to enjoy in-store. Outside, our charming pink trolley awaits, offering the perfect spot to savour a warm glass while soaking up the city’s festive atmosphere.

As 2025 draws to a close, we reveal the city’s most magnificent New Year’s ice cream cakes, flower-shaped “kransekage”, and fine Champagne.

Cocktails of the season

Christmas in Balthazar

The wonderful flavours and aromas of Christmas can also be experienced at Balthazar Champagne Bar, where our talented bartenders have created a selection of festive cocktails – including our Cherry Christmas and the enchanting Champagne & Gløgg Cocktail.

Every Saturday between 2pm and 5pm, the bar invites you to enjoy the cherished tradition of Christmas gløgg served with Danish "æbleskiver" on the side.

And do no forget to take part in Balthazar’s Christmas Calendar on Instagram. From 1 to 24 December, we open a new door each day and reveal the winner of a bubbly prize.
